Fireworks Spectacular
Kick off the Labor Day weekend enjoying an awesome fireworks show! This fireworks extravaganza will take place on August 29th at 10:00 PM. Come early to get a great spot and bring your friends and family! The sky will be painted with colors to honor Labor Day. This is a free event for all ages.
Delaware Valley Bluegrass Festival
This is the 42nd annual Delaware Valley Bluegrass Festival which takes place over the entire Labor Day weekend. It is located at the Salem County Fairgrounds. This is a festival for outdoor and nature enthusiasts, as well as music lovers. There is ample space to bring your tent for camping, as well as enough room for recreational vehicles. This event, unlike the majority of other Labor Day Weekend festivals, does not require any camping charges. There will also be many local and regional performers during this weekend festival.
Ocean City Labor Day Race
This even takes place at 9:00 AM on September 1st at 23rd Street Beach in Ocean City. For more than 20 years in OceanCity, this race has been held on the beach to commemorate Labor Day. The race itself will be five miles and directly afterward a one mile health walk will be featured. The five-mile race will be southbound for 2.5 miles then return to the starting point. Both races are going to begin and end at the 23rd Street Beach. There is a $20.00 Registration fee through August 31st and a race shirt will be given to all participants who have registered before the deadline. Children 14 years of age and younger will be able to register for a fee of only $10.00. If you decide to register on the day of the event instead, registration will begin at 7:00 AM until 8:00 AM.
Craft Show of Wildwood
This event will be held on Rio Grande Avenue at the Boardwalk only on the Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. This is a rain or shine event that starts at 9:00 AM and lasts until 5:00 PM. Every single craft product featured for purchased has been handmade by artisans with over 25 years of experience creating eclectic, one-of-a-kind treasures. This a great opportunity to support local artists, start your Christmas shopping early, and pick up a souvenir of your weekend Labor Day celebration in South Jersey.
