10 Reasons to Buy Certified Pre-Owned Chevrolets

Inventory Contact Certified Pre-Owned Chevy's are the largest single purchase most of us make aside from our homes. We should make full use of any specialist knowledge, or tools, to reduce the risk of making a costly misstep. Buying a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle is one of the best safeguards against future disappointment. 10 Reasons to Buy Certified Pre-Owned Chevrolets Certified Pre-Owned what it means Only factory authorized dealerships, with specially trained technicians, can issue a Manufacturer Certification. The process involves a multi-point examination of every system on the vehicle - 172 points on a Chevrolet automobile - following a very specific formula established by the manufacturer. It is your guarantee, as a purchaser, that the vehicle you're considering can be bought with peace of mind. Chevrolet Buick GMC's certification program, called Owner Care, includes a two-year or 24,000-mile (whichever comes first) scheduled maintenance plan embracing oil changes, tire rotations and ongoing multipoint inspections, a $0 deductible and 24/7 roadside assistance which also includes the provision of courtesy transportation. Purchasers also receive a copy of their vehicle's history report. Types of Certification Two types of certification are most common. "Dealer Certification" means the vehicle is backed by a warranty from the dealership offering the sale. This process may involve a less rigorous inspection than a factory equivalent, and you may be expected to buy an extended warranty from a third party. Such warranties usually involve some deductible costs, and the coverage may only be applicable at the dealership where the purchase was made. "Factory Certification," on the other hand, offers these ten advantages: The vehicle is backed by a warranty from the manufacturer The vehicle benefits from the same level of coverage that a new car enjoys Repairs can be made under the policy at any factory-authorized dealership If the inspection revealed that repairs or service work were required, that work has been carried out, and the vehicle re-inspected, before certification Most new vehicles depreciate conspicuously when they're first purchased (up to 40 percent in some cases); buying a two-year-old car that's been Certified should mean you get an effectively as-new auto, for a very substantial reduction over the cost of a new model Even relatively high-mileage examples must pass the rigorous inspection, so evidence of use through wear-and-tear should be minimal The certification checklist should be made available to you before purchase, so you can understand and put a value on all the work that's been done You will receive a stringently detailed document enumerating everything that's covered by the warranty (this may be powertrain only, or it may be bumper-to-bumper coverage) You will know before ever using the vehicle how many miles, or alternately how long a period of ownership, you have before the Certification period expires You will have the dealership's return policy in writing, and, if it doesn't match your expectations, you will know this before striking a deal (or walking away) A large range of officially Certified Pre-Owned Chevrolet vehicles are offered by Burlington Chevrolet, located at 105 East Route 130 South, Burlington, NJ 08016. How to Buy a Car with Bad Credit

Inventory Contact Bad Credit? How to buy a car with bad credit. If you have bad credit, you may think it will disqualify you from obtaining financing for a new car. However, that doesn't have to be the case for you. Here are some ways you can finance a new Chevy in South Jersey, with less than perfect credit. How to Buy a Car with Bad Credit Bad Credit but you have stable employment? Similar to your credit history, your employment history can help lenders determine whether you are a good candidate for a loan. Lenders will look to see how long you have been at your current place of employment as well as how much you make monthly. If you have worked at the same job for more than a year, it can make you a better candidate for a loan because it shows you have a stable job. Find a co-signer If you have a trusted relative or friend that can co-sign on the loan it can increase your chances of obtaining financing. Moreover, if they have a great credit history this can help you receive a favorable interest rate, which may save you a significant amount of money over the life of the loan. It’s important to note that if someone co-signs a loan for you, that person shares the same obligations you do. If for whatever reason you default on the loan they would become responsible for paying it. Pay a down payment A down payment can help you receive the financing you need. If it’s possible, try to make a down payment of at least ten percent of the purchase price of the vehicle, and if you can do more, aim for 20 percent. Keep in mind that the more you are able to put down at the time of the loan closing, the less you will have to pay for the loan. This may also help you earn a better interest rate. Apply at a dealership While there are many financing options available to you, one of the best is to visit the dealership to apply. This is where Burlington Chevrolet can help you. Our team of finance professionals will be happy to assist you in financing your new vehicle. What sets us apart from other options is that we have a network of lenders we use; therefore, we can help you receive the best rate on your new vehicle. Furthermore, with our easy to use website, you can apply for financing from the comfort of your couch using our secure application. You can also stop by the dealership if you are uncomfortable applying online. Regardless of the option you select, we will work hard to find you the best deal no matter what your credit history is.

5 Ways to get your Chevy ready for Spring

Inventory Contact The snow and ice are beginning to melt and the roads are smooth and easy to drive; it is time to start getting your Chevy ready for the spring. The following five tips will ensure that your car is in tip-top condition for the changing weather conditions. 5 Ways to get your Chevy ready for Spring 1. Tires Properly inflated tires increase fuel efficiency, last lnger, improve steering response, and reduce the chance of a blowout, which could cost anywhere between $50 and $250. You are more likely to blow a tire during the change from winter to spring than any other time of the year as tire pressure changes by about one pound per square inch for every ten Check pressure while the tires are cold, as even a short drive to the gas station could give you a false reading. When adjusting the tires, never exceed your Chevy's pressure rating, which you can find in your owner's manual or inside the driver's side door frame.degrees Fahrenheit change in outdoor temperature. Tires often encounter a high amount of wear and tear during the winter. You should visually inspect your car's tires for any signs of damage and ensure they have plenty of tread to handle the upcoming spring showers. You can extend tread life by rotating the tires which you should typically do every 5,000 to 10,000 miles. 2. Wiper Blades Wipers need changing at least once per year, and the best time to do so is either just before or after the winter. Change your wiper blades sooner if you notice the rubber is becoming dry or cracked. 3. Cleaning Salt, sand, and dirt from the roads in winter can damage the bottom of your car and cause corrosion. Rust problems not only lower your Chevy's value, they also present a risk when driving. Such issues can be prevented with an undercarriage power wash at a professional car wash or a high pressure spray from your hose; no soap or other type of cleaner is necessary. If possible, raise your Chevy with a car jack to give it a more thorough clean. At the same time you watch the undercarriage, clean the engine with soapy water to remove debris such as leaves that may have entered the car. Also, clean residue from the battery with a toothbrush, baking soda, and water. This will prepare your battery for the stress of the warmer spring temperatures. 4. The Air Filter Replacing a clogged air filter can improve your mileage by up to ten percent; however, it can be difficult to know when a filter needs replacing just by looking as some show light when dirty and others when clean. The best method is to change the filter every six months, and you can make the chore easier to remember by adding it to your spring maintenance list. 5. Fluids After the winter, you should check your windshield wiper fluid and top up your oil, brake fluid, and transmission fluid if it has been about 5,000 since you last change d them. Every two years, you should also ask an ASE-certified mechanic to flush and refill your coolant system to ensure your Chevy's engine does not overheat during the warmer weather and to significantly improve your gas mileage. Neglecting basic maintenance could damage your Chevy and cause you costly bills that could have easily been prevented. Make sure you follow the above tips or schedule an appointment with your local Chevy dealer every spring without fail.

Some people aren't even after improved performance when lifting their truck, some are just after the unique and appealing look, lifting gives a truck. Reasons to Lift Your Chevy Truck in NJ However, before you run off to purchase a lift kit, there are some things to consider, especially state laws for having a lifted truck in New Jersey. Every state has certain requirements and restrictions when it comes to lifting your truck, even if only by a small amount. In New Jersey, the general consensus is that you can lift your truck a good four inches above stock height before things start getting tricky. Once you lift past that four inch margin, you will have to take your vehicle in for a stability test, which is done at a state facility. As long as you keep your state rules and regulations in mind before the lifting process is started, you should be able to lift your truck appropriately to suit your needs without attracting unwanted attention to your lift from law enforcement. So, what are some reasons to lift your truck? Driving Off Road There isn't any specific height change that will make off-road driving better on your truck. It is generally accepted, though, that lift kits help off-road driving capabilities. How much you want to lift in this circumstance will depend a lot on your truck and the current off-road capabilities it possesses. For Looks Over recent years the look of the standard pick-up truck has really changed. Due to higher demands, truck manufacturers have aimed to make trucks family friendly, thus making them more car-like. While this is great for those who are seeking this new look, true truck enthusiasts are less happy. Many opt for a lift kit to bring back that rugged, strong look of a pick-up. If you decide to go this route, you really have control over how much lift you get. Some like a tiny lift just to make the truck sit a bit higher, while some like to go to extremes and create monstrous beauties. For Working Purposes Many people work in an industry where they work a lot with their trucks. Whether you work for your county plowing or paving roads, on a construction crew, or any other outdoor type work, a high performance truck is almost a must. Giving your truck a small lift can help improve performance and power, so it is definitely something to consider. Don't go overboard here, a huge lift may make your truck less steady and unsuitable for constant work. More Possibilities A lifted truck allows the owner more flexibility in what they do with their truck. Not only can they drive on the highway like every other vehicle out there, a lift kit can help trucks perform better when driving through mud, sand and water.
