Chevy Silverado 2500HD – Suspension

Each wheel acts independently with the front suspension that gives the best ride possible over rough terrain. Upper control arms and torsion bars are part of the steering gear for heavy-duty work. The Chevy Silverado 2500HD has a 6,000 pound Front Gross Axel Weight rating.

The 4×4 models with the diesel engine can accommodate a snow plow with the Snow Plow Prep Package.

Chevy Silverado 2500HD -Towing

Trailer Sway Control assists when pulling heavy loads. This system keeps your truck on track if the trailer starts to sway. This is important if you are towing another vehicle, boat, travel trailer, tractor or a piece of machinery on a trailer bed.

The diesel engine can tow up to 17,800 pounds. The gas engine is suited for 4,212 pounds. The Tow/Haul Mode helps while pulling a heavy load by modifying the automatic transmission shift.

The Vortec engine uses the auto grade braking with the Tow/Haul Mode to automatically slow the truck on downgrades through compression braking. The Intelligent Brake Assist will brake quickly and safely using a sensor system.

Hill Start Assist keeps the truck from rolling backward when starting from a steep upgrade of more than five percent. This works even when the truck is pulling a trailer.

Chevy Silverado 2500HD – Style

The Chevy Silverado 2500HD comes in a four-door Crew Cab model available in several colors and two truck bed sizes. You can have a 6.5-foot or 8-foot truck bed customized with stationary tool box, rail bars, hard-folding tonneau cover and a special off-road package.

The interior comes with cloth, leather, vinyl, or perforated leather seats. Reclining bucket seats are standard on the LTZ models. You can also order a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated and cooled front seats, a locking center console and under seat storage.

Chevy Silverado 2500HD – Safety and Navigation

All Chevy Silverado trucks come with two standard airbags. You can upgrade to six airbags depending on the model and the number of people who will be riding.

Options include the OnStar system with its outstanding Vehicle Diagnostics that runs maintenance checks. The system will tell you if there is a problem with the push of a button. OnStar is a primary navigation system that offers turn-by-turn directions to reach your destination.

A rear vision camera can be added to the Silverado 2500HD to assist with rear cross traffic and backing up. This safety feature is extremely important for trucks, especially when attaching a trailer.

Bluetooth connection is available for hands-free smart phone calling. You can also connect a MP3 player to the USB port. You can lock or unlock doors with a remote that will also start your engine.
