The Trailblazer is an excellent daily cruiser, supplying you with enough power to keep up with traffic and get around with confidence. As a subcompact crossover, it’s also a thrifty option, earning up to 31 mpg combined (29 city/33 highway).

There are two powertrains available for the Trailblazer:

• Standard turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine (137 horsepower, 162 lb-ft of torque) + continuously variable transmission (CVT)
• Optional turbo 1.3L three-cylinder engine (155 hp, 174 lb-ft) + nine-speed automatic

The LS and LT come with the standard engine, but the upgraded powertrain is available as an option. These trims also come standard with front-wheel drive, and they’re only available with all-wheel drive when you choose the upgraded 1.3-liter engine.

The Activ and RS trim models come with the turbocharged 1.3-liter engine and nine-speed automatic transmission. However, they’re available with either front- or all-wheel drive.

Available colors vary slightly according to which trim model you select. The standard list of colors, available for the LS and LT, includes:

The Silverado 2500HD starts at around $40,500, giving you a great deal on a very powerful truck. Although Ford hasn’t released its official MSRP figures for its Super Duty trucks, we think it will cost a little more, perhaps starting around $45,765.

Once again, Ford has yet to announce all the specs for its redesigned Super Duty trucks. However, we expect them to be packing slightly more power than their Chevy counterparts. This year, the F-250 offers a bigger standard V8 and a high-output version of its diesel V8, maximizing towing and hauling capabilities.

And both offer a couple of bed sizes, leaving you to choose the amount of cargo and passenger space that’s right for you. And both trucks come in a variety of trim levels, so you can decide which comfort and convenience features are worth your dime.

Compared to light-duty trucks, the heavy-duty Silverado 2500HD gives you the power and equipment you need to tow and haul extra weight. But these strong Chevy pickups also put a friendly price on tow-friendly technology, creature comforts, and modern smartphone connectivity.

There are five Silverado 2500HD trim models: Work Truck (WT), Custom, LT, LTZ, and High Country. Each adds a little more comfort and convenience to your ride, though the price also goes up as you move up the list.

The entry-level WT is basic, but it gives you a great price on the necessities, including these standard features:

The Silverado 2500HD gives you a slight advantage in the price department, with an MSRP of $40,500. By comparison, the entry-level Sierra 2500HD is slightly more expensive, starting at $42,700. Prices may vary.

Exterior styling is one of the biggest differences between the Silverado 2500HD and the Sierra 2500HD. The Sierra sticks with a more classic look, complete with a squared-off front end and an imposing grille. But the Silverado looks a little more modern, with its unique signature LED lighting and rugged stance. Both trucks offer a wide range of exterior upgrades, however, including flashy wheel options and chrome trim.

Because they have a parent company in GM, both of these heavy-duty trucks offer the same two engine options. For maximum towing capabilities, opt for the Duramax diesel engine. And every truck, no matter which trim model or engine you select, is available with trail-ready four-wheel drive.

This extra-small crossover has been completely redesigned for the 2024 model year, featuring a brand new design, inside and out. You’ll also notice that its MSRP is lower than before. Not only is it more affordable, but these new models also come with more standard features than before! Finally, the upcoming Trax is also bigger than ever, with three extra inches of rear-seat legroom and 6 extra cubic feet of cargo space.

There will be five Trax trim models available: the base LS, stylish 1RS, mid-level LT, sporty 2RS, and posh Activ. Although each delivers a little more to love, with additional comfort and convenience features, the price also goes up accordingly.

Outside, the LS and LT have their own sporty, yet straightforward designs. The LS comes standard with 17-inch steel wheels, but the LT upgrades to 17-inch machined aluminum wheels. The 1RS and 2RS feature sporty exterior accents and a unique grille design. The 1RS gets 18-inch aluminum wheels, whereas the 2RS has 19-inch aluminum wheels. Finally, the top-trim Activ has its own exclusive design elements, with titanium chrome accents and a stylish rear skid plate. It’s the only Trax to feature black 18-inch wheels.

Standard equipment is abundant, with a list that includes an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the Chevy Safety Assist suite of driver aids. Inside, the LT includes remote start and automatic climate control. The 1RS, 2RS, and Activ trim models add heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated exterior mirrors. The Active adds to the aforementioned features with a power-adjustable driver’s seat. A sunroof is optional.

We’re still waiting to hear what the Trax’s EPA ratings will be. However, we expect this extra-small crossover to be pretty thrifty. We’re also confident that the upcoming Trax will balance an efficient performance with a confident around-town drive. These crossovers will only be available with front-wheel drive, so if you’re looking for all-wheel drive, you should check out the Trailblazer, Chevy’s other subcompact crossover.

They might have similar names, but these models are ultimately very different crossover SUVs, something that’s reflected in their price tags. The compact Trailblazer starts at $21,800, making it the much more affordable option. The midsize Blazer, meanwhile, has an MSRP that starts at $33,400.

In spite of being in totally different segments, the Trailblazer and Blazer offer similar amounts of passenger space. In both SUVs, head and legroom are very similar. However, the Blazer is slightly wider, giving you a few extra inches of shoulder and hip room in both rows.

However, the Blazer does provide extra cargo space behind its rear seats, with 30.5 cubic feet for your family’s favorite sports gear and road trip supplies. The smaller Trailblazer gives you 25.3 cubic feet, but this space should meet the needs of many drivers!

One of the biggest differences between a small and midsize crossover is power. The Blazer is the more powerful option; it can potentially get you up to speed faster and tow a bigger trailer.

The 2022 Chevy Blazer powertrain offerings include:

A brand new Spark gives you the best deal, with a starting price of just $13,600. However, the Mitsubishi Mirage is very competitively priced, with an MSRP that starts at $14,645. As we will see, though, the Spark not only gives you the lowest price, but it also delivers the most for your money.

Both of these hatchback put an emphasis on fuel-efficiency, but the Spark gives you a little more power, boosting your confidence as you merge into traffic or pass a slow-moving vehicle. The Spark powertrain specs include:

• 1.4L four-cylinder engine (98 horsepower, 94 lb-ft of torque)
• Five-speed manual transmission
• Optional continuously variable transmission
• Up to 33 mpg combined (30 city/38 highway)

With the Mitsubishi Mirage, getting onto the highway requires some forethought, because you don’t have as much power at your command. But less power does mean more fuel mileage, which is something to keep in mind if you’ve got an especially long commute. Mirage powertrain specs include:

The Spark is big on value, giving you a lot for your money. Chevy’s OnStar system is also standard, giving you the option of adding an extra safety net with its communication services. As you move up the trim levels, this little economy car gets pretty stylish, with options that include roof rails, fog lights, heated front seats, and a sunroof.

The Mitsubishi Mirage also comes standard with some convenient tech features, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, the infotainment system feels dated, especially when you compare it to the Spark’s technology. Like the Spark, the Mirage offers upgrades, including heated front seats and faux-leather upholstery.
