Seeing as both of these SUVs are Chevy’s, a lot of their features, including their engines, are going to be similar if not the same. An additional Turbo Diesel engine is available for both.

Both the Suburban and the Tahoe have either all-wheel drive rear-wheel drive and a 10 speed automatic transmission. The main difference when it comes to these two is going to be size and towing.

While the Suburban has the upper hand on larger cargo room, the Tahoe takes the prize with the towing capabilities. While the Suburban can tote 7,900-8,300 lbs, the Tahoe can take on a little more with a range of 8,100-8,400 lbs. So those looking for more towing options would be better suited with the Tahoe.

And while the Suburban is the bigger model, this does not mean the Tahoe is slacking when it comes to space. The interior length and headroom and legroom are the same in both, the Suburban being longer in exterior length by 15 in. This does lend a bit more agility to the Tahoe though since it is not quite as bulky as the Suburban. They do both seat the same number of people with the range being 7-9, the Suburban just has a little more cargo space. Both can comfortably seat their number of passengers though, so all those adventures with family and friends will be riding in comfort wherever your travels may take you.

Again, the safety and reliability features for these 2 models have a load of similarities. Both are complete with brake assist, lane departure warning as well as lane keeping assist and traction control just to name a few. There is also a navigation system and on board hands free communications system to make sure your travels are safe no matter where you are headed. There are also a number of technological features at your fingertips in these SUVs and that includes Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and WiFi hotspot.

The 2023 Chevrolet Blazer does have an exterior refresh this year and is taking on a whole new look. And this new look is on all of the four trims. There are also new colors which include Radiant Red, Sterling Gray and Copper Bronze. As for wheels, there will be 18 in, 20 in and 21 in options to choose from.

The 2023 GMC Acadia won’t be making any exterior changes like the Blazer. The Acadia also has 4 trim levels but there won’t be an upgrade refresh for the 2023 model year. Both SUVs also offer Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and WiFi hotspots and the Blazer also offers, as a standard feature, satellite radio. There’s also on board hands free communication systems for both of these vehicles to ensure a little more safety with the technology. Not to mention optional heated seats to add a tad more luxurious feel to those winter evenings when there is a chill in the air.

The Blazer steps it up with the towing capacity of 4,500 lbs while the Acadia taps out at 4,000. The Blazer has a wider stance which helps with the extra towing capacity. As for engines, both are rocking a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder which offers 228 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque. There is also an option of a 3.6L V6 for both of these SUVs as well which offers 310 HP and 308 HP in the Acadia and Blazer respectively. These vehicles are very close in terms of engines and HP so if you are the deciding line when it comes to these, but the Chevrolet Blazer does have a higher towing capacity. So if you are looking for an SUV that can pull a bit more, the Blazer is the SUV for you. As far as sizing goes, both are similar in length but the Blazer stands a little wider than the Acadia. Yet as far as length and interior head and leg room goes they are very close in measurements. The Acadia does seat 7 whereas the Blazer only seats 5.

To start, the Suburban can seat up to 9 people while the Expedition caps out at 8, even though both have 3 rows. The Suburban can fold its seats to offer more cargo space when needed and when doing so, the Suburban has 23.2 cubic feet of cargo space more than the Expedition. This can definitely come in handy when toting all sorts of goodies back and forth in everyday life or for trips that need to be stocked to the gills. The Expedition does offer a more spacious trim than the standard model that comes with the Expedition Max, but even this trim is slightly smaller than the Suburban. The legroom on the Suburban for the second row is 42 inches and for the third row is 36.7 inches while the Expedition Max has second row legroom at 41.5 inches and third row at 36.1 inches. While this is close in legroom, keep in mind that this is the largest trim that the Expedition has to offer which will also be more costly than the Suburban. Ultimately, the 2023 Chevy Suburban definitely offers more room than the 2023 Ford Expedition so for those seeking the most room for their family, friends and cargo needs, the Suburban is the SUV for you.

Now that we’ve tackled the space issue, let’s see what’s under the hood on these two SUVs. For the 2023 Chevrolet Suburban the standard engine will be a 5.3-liter V-8 that offers 355 HP and 383 lb-ft of torque and can tow up to 8,300 pounds. The V-8 is paired with a 10 speed automatic transmission to give it a nice quiet ride that also has some speed to it. While this engine is a great standard option there are two other engines offered for the Suburban. The 6.2-liter V-8 which offers 420 HP and 480 lb ft of torque and can tow 7,700 pounds as well as the 3.0-L turbo diesel inline-6 which offers 277 HP and 460 lb ft of torque and can tow 8,100 pounds. The latter is the best option for those that are looking for the best towing option and want good highway miles. The 6.3L V8 is the pick you want to go with if you’re looking for that jump start vroom.

As for the Ford Expedition the standard engine is the twin-turbo 3.5 L V-6 that offers 380 HP, 470 lb ft of torque and tows up to 9,300 pounds. Some of the higher trims offer a little more HP and all of them are 10 speed transmissions just like the Suburban. Both of these SUVs for the size they are have good pick-up and towing capabilities.

Now let’s talk safety, both of the SUVs offer standard automatic emergency braking and active lane control to start. The Expedition does have some blind-spot monitors as a standard option, while the Suburban offers Super Cruise which is a hands free driving system. This means automatic lane change around slower vehicles and is offered on more than 400,000 miles of highways over North America. Great for long distance travel when you are up for those adventures.

This year a new version of the 2023 Chevy Colorado is coming in hot! It’s been 7 years since a revamp on the Colorado and this year it’s going into its third generation. Chevy came out with an amazing overhaul. This four door crew cab new model will have a larger stature and will also bring about some fantastic interior changes such as an 11.3 in. infotainment system for starters. There will also be a new gauge cluster, new steering wheel and an adjustment in where the cupholders and shifter are located to make it more easily accessible. The 2023 Chevy Colorado also comes standard with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

As for the 2023 GMC Canyon, this year will be seeing a few changes as well making the exterior more robust to entice the off-roading element. The answer Chevrolet came up with is the new trim, the AT4X this year.

Both of these trucks have some serious action going on under the hoods and we’re going to get to all that good stuff next. Let’s look at safety features first. The Chevy Colorado is offering the Chevy assist package which includes forward collision warning, emergency braking, lane departure warning and lane keeping assist. This comes standard with all trims. As for the GMC Canyon, they also offer safety features such as automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert and lane keep assist as well. Both trucks will keep you and your loved ones safe on day to day life and any adventure you seek out.

Along with the revamp for the interior of the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado, this year will also see a turbo-charged 2.7 L engine with an eight speed automatic transmission. No longer will the V-6 and the Duramax diesel powertrains be offered. There will be different horsepower depending on trims the highest output being 310 hp and comes with 430 lb-ft of torque.

The 2023 GMC Canyon will also come with a turbo-charged 2.7 L engine and has the same 310 hp output and 430 lb-ft of torque like the Colorado. Both also have a similar towing capacity –up to 7,700 lbs. These undercarriages sound extremely similar with one of the main differences being that the Colorado offers 3 powertrain variants for its engine while the Canyon only offers one.

The 2023 Chevy Trailblazer features two engines that will both provide some different options when it comes to drivetrains. The smaller of the engines will only come in front wheel drive and will feature a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The larger of the two engines has an available all wheel drive system and will feature a nine speed automatic transmission to replace the CVT transmission used with the smaller engine.

As mentioned previously the Trailblazer will feature three drive modes. These drive modes are Normal, All Wheel Drive (Snow on FWD models), and Sport mode. These versatile drive modes help gear the vehicle to have the best performance no matter the weather conditions.

Toyota offers a multi-terrain selection as well, which are the drive modes that you will see on the 2023 Toyota RAV4. Some of these include Mud/Sand, Rock/Dirt, and Snow options. Coupled with the all wheel drive system there is a peace of mind that the weather will not get the best of the vehicle.

In the Wagoneers you will see three different four wheel drive systems to choose from. On top of that there are also different drive modes that couple with this. Some of these drive modes include Rock, Mud/Sand, Snow, and Sport.

• Both of these vehicles have some incredible drivetrain options that will give you comfort while you are driving. The Honda Pilot has had some upgrades to the all wheel drive system in the past little bit that will be discussed as well.
• The Chevy Traverse has the best-in-class cargo space that is offered for these mid-size SUVs so you will have the room that you will need to pack up all your gear! On top of that the seating capacity will allow you to take passengers along with your gear!
• Honda has designed the 2023 Honda Pilot with safety in mind. The Honda Sensing Suite is Honda’s suite of safety features to give peace of mind while on the road.

The 2023 Chevrolet Traverse has one engine option that gives a good amount of power. That engine will be mated to an automatic 9-speed transmission which shifts smoothly. As stated before the 2023 Honda Pilot all wheel drive system has been updated from previous years. This new system uses a pair of clutch packs that can be engaged separately. This will help if a single wheel loses traction, then the others will compensate to provide power.

• The Toyota Tundra will not have a V8 engine under the hood, however, it will sport a hybrid option. The Chevy Silverado on the other hand has four engine options, with one of those being an ecodiesel option.
• Both of these trucks have offroad designed trim levels to take you off the beaten path. With that being said the Toyota Tundra is geared a little bit more to off-roading with all of their trim levels.
• When it comes to a work truck, towing is a very important aspect to know about. Both of these trucks can tow well above the 10,000 pound threshold, with the Chevy Silverado 1500 being able to out tow the Tundra by just a little bit.

For the 2023 Chevy lineup of the Silverado 1500 you will see four different engine options which will give you quite a few options to choose from. Rear wheel drive will be standard on these trucks with four wheel drive being an available feature as well. There are options for many different cab sizes as well, ranging from a single cab to a four door cab.
